Dr. Ghemigian is currently Senior Lecturer, Head of the “Nutrition, Dietetics and Endocrinology” Department of Nurses and Medical Assistance Faculty, “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
She graduated General Medicine Faculty in 1983 and received her PhD in 1999. For the last 30 years she devoted herself to medical teaching as well as medical practice as endocrinologist within the National Institute of Endocrinology “C. I. Parhon”. Her research activity included topics as thyroid and parathyroid diseases, osteoporosis and endocrine tumours. She was in charge of two national research projects and member of the research teams of seven other research projects and clinical studies. She is author and coauthor in more than 100 publications in national and international journals.
She is a member in good standing in Romanian Society of Endocrinology, European Society of Endocrinology, AACE and Romanian AACE Chapter, Romanian Society of Clinical Endocrinologists, Romanian Society of Chronobiology and National Osteoporosis Foundation.
She works as a member in the Endocrinology Board of the Ministry of Health. She has an eight years activity in the top management department of the National Institute of Endocrinology, as Research Director, Medical Director and in present, starting June 2015, as Interim Manager.
