Raluca-Alexandra Trifanescu (d.o.b 30th of August 1974, Bucharest), M.D., PhD, is Lecturer in the Department of Endocrinology, "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Consultant endocrinologist in "C. I. Parhon" National Institute of Endocrinology, Bucharest, Romania. She is currently the Secretary & Treasurer of Romania Chapter of AACE, member of Society for Endocrinology (U.K), European Society of Endocrinology, European Thyroid Association and member in the Board of Romanian Society of Endocrinology. Her research focus is on the amiodarone-induced thyroid dysfunction, cardiovascular involvement in primary hyperparathyroidism, bone impact of chronic hyponatremia, neuroendocrine tumors and pituitary disease (pituitary adenomas, Rathke's cleft cysts, hypopituitarism). In collaborative studies with cardiologists and oncologists, she is now looking at the outcome of treatment in amiodarone-induced thyrotoxicosis and thyroid dysfunction induced by tyrosine-kinase inhibitors in metastatic renal carcinoma. Clinical research studies were published in Clinical Endocrinology (Oxf), European Journal of Endocrinology, Acta Endocrinologica (Buc), Mædica- a Journal of Clinical Medicine, Romanian Journal of Morphology and Embryology, Journal of Medicine and Life.
