Roberto Attanasio, MD, PhD (d.o.b. 10.03.1957) is manager of Endocrinology Service at Galeazzi Institute IRCCS, Milan. He graduated Medicine at University of Milan, had a post graduate qualification in Endocrinology, University of Genoa and received PhD in Endocrinology at University of Milan.
His main scientific interest is in hypothalamo-pituitary pathophysiology and clinics.
From 2009 he is member of the Scientific Committee of Associazione Medici Endocrinologi and from the beginning (2014) of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Chapter of AACE. He is active member of Società Italiana di Endocrinologia (from 1993), Associazione Medici Endocrinologi (from 2004), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (from 2014).
He is author of over 130 papers and speaker in many scientific meetings. He is also coordinator and author of 8 clinical handbooks of endocrinology and Editor of Endowiki (www.endowiki.it).
He also served as referee for Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Clinical Endocrinology, European Journal of Endocrinology, Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, Pituitary, Endocrine, Expert Review in Endocrinology and Metabolism.
