Tournament Rules

DOUBLE PAR PICK-UP RULE

You must pick up your ball and move onto the next hole once you have shot two times the par for that hole or equivalent to X for the hole according to your handicap.

PROVISIONAL BALL
If, after playing a shot, you think your ball may be lost outside a water hazard or out of bounds you should play a provisional ball. You must state that it is a provisional ball and play it before you go forward to search for the original ball.

WORK TOGETHER & BE CAREFUL

Do your best to watch the entire flight and have as many of your playing partners as possible helping search for a lost ball. The more eyes, the better.

R&A RULES OF GOLF GOVERN ALL PLAY EXCEPT WHERE MODIFIED BY LOCAL RULES.

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27)

A ball shall be “Out of bounds” when it lies:
a) On or over any boundary wall.
b) Beyond any boundary fence or hedge.
c) As defined with white stakes or lines.
d) The clubhouse and all surrounding areas.
e) On the cliff edge running alongside the 18th hole, the area is marked with white posts, for safety reasons it is advised all golfers approach the cliff edge with caution.

2. WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)

3. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)

The ball must be dropped from all these areas at the nearest point of relief within 1 club length so the players intended swing does not damage the young trees.
Newly seeded areas, the ball should not be played from any of these areas and again dropped at the nearest point of relief within 1 club length.

5. CART PATHS, PATHS AND ROADS.

A ball coming to rest on any path or road may be lifted and dropped without penalty.

6. SPRINKLER HEADS AND IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS

All sprinkler heads and drain covers are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them should be taken under rule 24-2. (Nearest point of relief within 1 club length.)
